Stories of Transformation

At City of Refuge, we know that transformation only takes place in the context of hard work and loving relationships. Please take a moment and meet some of our heroes that have decided to impact their own lives and the lives around them by entering our campus.

Our Programs

Our campus programs are a result of over two decades of experience in community development. Our programs are holistic and based on four key impact areas: Health & Wellness, Housing, Job Training, and Youth Development.

  • Due to generational poverty in Atlanta's Westside, many people are struggling physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Our department provides residents with a range of essential health services all on one campus so they can live well-rounded and healthy lives.

  • Atlanta is home to over one-third of the state's homeless population. Our department provides residents with the highest quality temporary housing and a pathway to safe, permanent, and affordable housing so they can gain stability and thrive.

  • In Atlanta's Westside, many residents are either unemployed or stuck in dead-end jobs because of socioeconomic barriers. Our department provides individuals with free job training, mentorship, and placement services so they can have meaningful careers and provide a better life for their families.

  • In Atlanta's Westside, many children live without the basic necessities of life-such as food, clothing, shelter, education, and healthy relationships. Our department provides programming for kids that addresses all of their needs and allows them to be kids again.
